Audience: K-12 grade teachers, administrators, specialists, and district leaders
Capacity: 50 participants
Fees: Free for Lane County School District employees
Goals:
  • Learn strategies for shifting grading practices for equity in a distance learning environment, such as: how to determine sufficient evidence, how to provide meaningful feedback to students, and how to save time by prioritizing the most relevant assessments to grade.
  • Explore tools for adjusting your grading system to be more equitable. Points-based and proficiency-based systems will be discussed.
  • Collaborate with educators and develop a plan for implementing equitable grading practices with your students.
Description: This workshop is designed for participants who are interested in exploring and implementing equitable grading systems.
Lunch: No lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: None
Notes: All participants will be provided a certificate for PDUs based on the training hours.
