Goals:
  • Expand educators' capacity to foster resilience and success for their students and themselves
  • Develop multi-tiered strategies to support behavioral, social- emotional, and academic success of students impacted by adverse childhood experiences and trauma
  • Develop action plans to implement a trauma-informed framework in schools
Description: In this session, we will:

Part I: Explore the relationship between chronic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout; develop a research-based understanding of key factors that support educator resilience; and acquire tools and strategies to foster educators' social-emotional well-being and success.

Part II: Explore research-based practices to foster resilience for ourselves and our school/district, develop our capacity to move from reactive to proactive problem solving with staff and students; and be introduced to a multi-tiered trauma-informed approach that can be integrated and embedded within existing systems of support.
Lunch: Lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: None
Notes: Training is free for Lane ESD curriculum Leaders (or designee) and superintendents (or designee)

All participants will be provided a certificate for PDUs based on the training hours.
