Effective ELL Strategies for K-5 Teachers

Audience: Grade K-5 teachers with English Learners in their classrooms
Capacity: 40 participants
Fees: No cost to attend training. There is limited funding available for substitute costs.
Goals:

Learning strategies that can be used to make academic content accessible to all students, with an emphasis on English Learners.

Description:

Focus will be on specific strategies that will help educators provide clear and accessible content and academic language to English Learner students.

Instructors will model a variety of strategies and provide opportunities for each educator to collaborate about implementing instructional strategies that make content accessible and fun for all students.

Lunch: No lunch will be provided.
