RFP Posting
On December 2, 2011, Lane Education Service District (Lane ESD) published a Request For Proposal (RFP) quotes for Internet Services Provision (ISP services) (including secondary DNS) for a two (2) year period beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2014, with an option to extend for an additional two (2) year term at the same price. Bidding closed at 5:00PM on January 4, 2012, and the evaluation and scoring process took place on January 5th, 2012. The evaluation and scoring process concluded that the LESD ISP RFP for 2012-14 will be awarded to NERO. The objective of this RFP was to accomplish a fair, open, and competitive procurement.

Infrastructural Technology
Lane ESD technology services provide a wide range of services to the 16 districts in the ESD region.
Services include:
- Wide Area Network connectivity
- Internet access and content filtering
- Email, DNS, and webhosting
- Technology management resources
- Technical consultation (remote and on site)
- Online technical reference library
In addition to the services above, all ESD Technology staff track new and emerging technologies. These technologies are evaluated in the context of the K-12 education industry in general and specifically K-12 education in the state of Oregon.
