  • To apply knowledge and skills in developing students' belief in the growth mindset
  • Apply the concepts of "areas of performance," "repertoire" and "matching" to develop students' belief in the growth mindset
  • Expand/refresh your repertoire of teaching strategies

Objectives

  • Teach the concept of growth mindset and brain malleability to students
  • Use words and actions in regularly recurring arenas of classroom life that send high expectations messages to students about your belief in their capacity to learn at high levels
  • Incorporate growth mindset language as an integral part of your teaching
  • Explicitly teach learning strategies and connect them to effective effort
