Teaching Resource Center

The Teaching Resource Center (TRC) comprises a number of collections which include:

  • The Professional Library — Made up of nearly 7,000 titles dealing with school improvement, teaching methods, curriculum support and general education.
  • Journals — Over 100 subscriptions to education-related periodicals.
  • Gold Files — A collection of research papers and documents on specific education topics.
  • State Adopted Textbooks (Instructional Materials) — Materials adopted by the Oregon Department of Education. For more information about state-adopted textbooks, go to http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=92.

All materials are in circulation with the exception of State Adopted Textbooks (Instructional Materials); however, patrons are free to use them in the TRC area. Items in the Professional Library can be reserved through the Online Professional Library; all others can be reserved by contacting the TRC directly.

In addition to the Professional Library resources, the TRC offers access to online databases like Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), Gale, and assistance to schools cataloging and/or automating their collections.
