Preview Program

The Preview Program gives Lane County teachers and students the opportunity to evaluate new K-12 instructional materials being considered for purchase. As principal users of the materials, teachers are integral in assessing correlation with curriculum, accuracy of content, and identifying the grade level most appropriate for the programs. Student opinion is also valuable in gauging level of interest and determining what appeals to different types of learners.

In addition to the preview committees' evaluation reports, purchasing decisions are influenced by existing materials in the collection, ODE benchmarks, anticipated curriculum trends, and any special needs indicated in usage reports. Suggestions for items to preview are encouraged and always welcome.
