Groundwater Stewardship in Oregon

AUDIENCE Grades 9-12, adult
DESCRIPTION This is an educational Web site for Oregonians interested in learning more about groundwater and how to protect it. Includes sections on the basic concepts of groundwater and wells, an overview of all the regulations and agencies that deal with groundwater in Oregon, specific actions for protecting groundwater from a variety of sources, and a guide for working on groundwater protection projects in your community.

The Southern Willamette Valley Groundwater Project

AUDIENCE Grades 9-12, adult
DESCRIPTION The valley floor between Eugene and Albany shows signs of groundwater quality impacts from human activity and is being investigated for possible designation as a Groundwater Management Area by DEQ. The Southern Willamette Valley Groundwater Project Web site provides background information and serves as a clearinghouse and networking tool for agency staff, researchers and residents working on the project.

Watershed Stewardship Education Program

AUDIENCE Grades 9-12, adult
DESCRIPTION WSEP is a statewide program of OSU Extension that offers a comprehensive series of eight watershed education topics with the opportunity to complete a 40 hour project and become a Master Watershed Steward.
