Language Arts
Professional Development and Technical Assistance for School Improvement efforts specific to Literacy and Language Arts are available through the School Improvement Department at Lane ESD. It is our goal to support the on-going implementation of evidence-based practices in reading and writing across Lane County schools. Specific examples of this support include the following:

Student Events
- Brain Bowl — The Brain Bowl is an annual Jeopardy-like competition for middle school students in Lane County. The event is a collaborative effort between Lane ESD, the University of Oregon's Office of Admissions and College of Education's Youth Enrichment and Talented and Gifted Programs. PowerPoint presentations from past competitions are available for practice.
